Welcome to My Daily Fortune!

If you're visiting for the first time today after reading the story in the Kansas City Star, welcome to My Daily Fortune! Take a look around, vote in the poll at the top right of the page, and leave a comment on a post to let me know what you think!

Here's how My Daily Fortune works: I open a fortune cookie every morning, then I post the fortune and the lucky numbers. During the day, I follow the fortune, and in the evening I write about it here on the blog. I also buy lottery tickets with the lucky numbers, and on Sundays I post the results of the week's lotto drawings (so far, I haven't had a winner...).

Thanks for visiting, and a big thanks to reporter Tim Engle, photographer Allison Long and the folks at the Kansas City Star for a wonderful story!

  1. Matt, the story Tim Engle wrote about your blog is great. As I scrolled through your blog I see that you have had some other publicity as well. My blog is now in its second year as I post daily entries that I wrote in my diaries 50 years ago about my life as an Iowa farm girl who came from Iowa to attend Park College (now Park University) in Parkville from 1961 to 1965. I am currently writing about my senior year in high school.

  2. Yes, I saw the KC paper article.... LOVE your idea and be following you. I too am attempting a 365 daily devotional of sorts this year.

  3. "Soon someone new coming into your life will become a very good friend." This is the fortune I got on 1-13-11. I'm looking forward to it becoming reality. Mike Mulcahy

  4. Barbara - Thanks for writing. I too went to Park University! I just took a look at your blog and it looks really interesting. I look forward to "snooping" through your old diary entries!
Judy - Best of luck with your devotional. I'm already learning, 15 days into mine, that it's a monumental challenge.
Mike - My friend, thanks so much for posting. Good luck with your interview and let me know what I can do to help.
