Today's fortune: Happier days are definitely ahead for you.
After yesterday's distressing post, I was certainly in need of a positive fortune.
If you didn't read it, let me recap. I made a huge mistake on the widget floor and received a formal warning. One more such mistake and I'll be fired.
After a near-sleepless night last night, I opened the above fortune this morning and headed for work with hopes of renewal and redemption. Shortly after logging into my computer, my staff manager Eric asked me to come into his office.
"You made a mistake," he said. "A mistake that can't be repeated. And it's going to cost the company some money. But if you can use this as a learning opportunity for yourself, and if you can use it to help those around you, it'll be the best money this company has ever spent."
After that meeting, my day became happier. I put my shame and embarrassment on the backburner, and I took the positive lessons from my error to heart. This was a good day. A really good day.
Also, there's this: tomorrow will be Day 183 of this project, which will mark the halfway point of My Daily Fortune! Tomorrow I'll be able to look back at 182 fortunes and look forward to 182 more. To know I am more than halfway to the finish line is exciting. It's been a hell of a ride so far, and I know the second half is gonna be a blast.
To help you envision happier days for yourself, here's a video blast from the past:
